Las Vegas has a large number of museums. Some of the museums in Lac Vegas are more well known then others. One museum which is not as well known as it should be is the Pinball Hall of Fame located at 1610 East Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas NV 89119. The Pinball Hall of Fame is a nonprofit museum dedicated to pinball. The Hall of Fame is free to enter though donations are accepted but you are likely to donate more then you plan after you get through playing only a small portion of the machines that you will want to play.
Being a Pinball Hall of Fame you would expect the museum would have a large number of pinball machines but you would be surprised when you see just what 400 pinball machines actually look like. Not only does the Hall of Fame have pinball machines but it also contains other classic games as well. As you can imagine with about 400 machines the museum has pinball machines from all eras including mechanical and electromechanical machines.
If you ever had a favorite pinball machine no mater what your age it is likely that the Pinball Hall of Fame has it. While the nostalgia of playing your old favorite may be great you will also enjoy the novelty of being able to play some rare machines that you likely have never heard of unless you are a pinhead as pinball enthusiast call themselves. Some of the rarest machines include Black Gold, Impacto, and one of only two known pinball circus which is a vertical pinball machine that only was made as a prototype.
While the pinball collection at the museum is by far the best pinball collection there is so much more to the museum then just pinball machines. The Pinball Hall of Fame also has a large selection of arcades. The arcade selection is made up of mostly older arcade machines. Even this arcade selection is one of the largest selections of old arcades. While the collection of older arcade machines may not be the largest arcade selection as many regular arcades you will not find so many older and unique games at any arcade. One of my favorite kinds of old arcade machines is the gun games from the 60’s.
You cold spend all day at the Pinball Hall of Fame and still not get through seeing or playing all the games. On top of that, if you don’t want to leave the comfort of your home, you can play poker online. This is with the help of modern technology, it is now possible for you to play poker without leaving the comfort of your home. While it might be free to come in you will probably walk out with a lot less money then when you came in. The only bad thing about the museum is that being so big if each machine only cost a quarter you would have to spend $100 to play all the games and you would probably have to take days to be able to play all the games but the good news is the museum is open 7 days a week from 11Am-11PM weekdays and one hour later one weekends. You might not get any money from playing these machines but you will get a lot of fun.
